Urn with a satyr in pursuit

Italian fresco with satyr |
Like most romance authors, I’m pretty normal. I have a great husband and cats named Chelsea and Biscuit. I figure skate for fun and to work off my favorite foodchocolate. My sister and mom are my best friends, and we shop and cook together when we can. We all love animals. I volunteer at a local no-kill pet shelter where it’s hard not to adopt all the cats, dogs, and the occasional bunny that come in.
I'm also a museum junkie and love history and archeology. When I was an art history major at university many years ago, I became fascinated with Greco-Roman artifacts. I’ve visited many archeological sites and museums in Italy and Greece. All those ancient urns, frescoes, and amphorae decorated with lusting satyrs, maenads, and Bacchus (or Dionysus) celebrating the annual grape harvest inspired The Lords of Satyr series.
I wrote the first book about the eldest satyr brotherNicholas--not knowing if there was a market for the type of book I was writing or if anyone would publish it. But I was intrigued with my story as it unfolded, so I forged ahead.
Once the rough draft was complete, I went to an RWA conference where I learned that what I had written was a paranormal historical erotic romance. I submitted three chapters of Nicholas and a series summary to Kensington. Six months later they called with an offer.
Writing this series has been a pleasure, and I hope you enjoy reading about all three Satyr brothersNicholas, Raine, and Lyon! Let me know.
